Pre-conference Workshop - Experiential Learning

The theme for the pre-conference workshops on Wednesday 5th July 2017 is "Experiential Learning".

If you're coming to VetEd, why not add the pre-conference day to your package and make a real event of it?

Abstracts selected for the pre-conference day will be on the theme of Experiential Learning, so you can expect workshops on topics like peer learning, work experience placements, clinical application and similar.

The pre-conference day offers plenty of opportunity to network ahead of the main conference, and in the evening you have the chance to experience a real Liverpudlian treat - a Beatles Themed Magical Mystery Bus Tour!

Student Volunteers

Veterinary Education is all about the students, and at every Vet Ed conference we've attended the whole experience was enhanced by the student volunteers. Vet Ed 2017 will be no exception and the Liverpool Vet Students pictured above have all volunteered to look after the presenters and delegates whilst at Liverpool.

Have you got any veterinary education information / ideas that you are itching to share with other veterinary educators? Vet Ed is THE place to network and share best practice.

We are after presenters for posters and interactive sessions from vets, vet nurses, educators or anyone with an interest in Veterinary Education. This is an excellent opportunity for a friendly, informal sharing of your work, and abstracts will be published after the conference.

Vet Ed 2017 Theme

The over-arching theme of Vet Ed 2017 is 'Integration: Developing Professionals in a Changing Climate'.

We also have a big drive to increase the number of Veterinary Nurse delegates. Having attended a number of Vet Ed conferences over the years there is a wealth of information equally relevant to both vets and vet nurses. So to all of you vet nurses out there why not join us at Vet Ed 2017 in Liverpool, either as a delegate, or even better present a poster or deliver an interactive session.

Pre-conference Entertainment

Beatles Tour

At Vet Ed 2016 in Glasgow we promised you the Beatles …….. here they are!!

For those of you looking for Pre-conference entertainment, why not join us on the Beatles 'Magical Mystery Tour'. Delegates will be picked up from Crown Place (Conference accommodation) and the tour will finish at the Albert Docks, with a variety of restaurants for a relaxing evening meal, and only a short walk from the Conference venue.

This fun and fascinating 2 hour tour takes in the most significant places in the early lives of the Beatles, including their homes, schools, favourite hang-outs and places that inspired the songs Penny Lane and Strawberry Field.
